Parking in Folkestone
Parking in Folkestone couldn’t be easier. There’s a wide selection of long and short term car parks. The town centre has a number of multi-storey car parks and there’s plenty of parking near the sandy beach and harbour. Click on the following link if you’re only interested in coach parking.
The blue shaded area show where there are one and two hour parking spots, there are pay per hour meters along the seafront and outside this area you are more likely to find a more permanent free space.
Finally there’s also the “Park & Rise” car park where you can park on the seafront near the entrance to the Coastal Park and your parking ticket entitles one person to a free ride up the Leas Lift.
Always check the parking signs where you park to see what restrictions are in force at the time. If you are staying in a hotel in the centre of Folkestone, ask them if you can purchase a hotel parking voucher, it may well be cheaper than the car parks.
Many of the car parks around Folkestone enable cashless payment with the website www.myringgo.co.uk. Just set up your account online and download the app on your phone. No need to carry change around and extend your parking stay without having to go back to the car!
